八週運動介入對視覺障礙者之身體活動量、健康體適能與生活品質之影響

The Effects of An Eight-week Exercise Programme on Physical Activity, Physical Fitness and Quality of Life of Visual Impaired Population

摘要


本研究目的為探討視覺障礙者經由有氧舞蹈與墊上核心二種運動介入後對身體活動量、健康體適能與生活品質之影響,採準實驗研究法(quasi-experimental design),研究之受試對象為15名視覺障礙者,取得受試對象的同意,將其進行8週有氧運動及墊上核心訓練介入,每次課程為100分鐘,包括50分鐘有氧運動與50分鐘的核心訓練。前測與每週進行體適能檢測與身體活動量之測量,利用身體活動量表(IPAQ)、體適能檢測(身體組成、坐姿體前彎、平衡、12分鐘跑走及仰臥起坐)、生活品質量表(SF-36)測量受試對象之各項資料。本研究之結果如下:一、經規律有氧運動及墊上核心訓練之受試對象,身體活動量未能達顯著水準。二、經規律有氧運動及墊上核心訓練之受試對象,健康體適能獲得有效改善,包含肌力由11.33±5.972次提升至16.80±4.617次、肌耐力由21.20±11.359次提升至28.53±6.413次、柔軟度由19.233±12.4382公分提升至35.667±8.8108公分、平衡感由21.87±21.514秒提升至49.33±18.554秒,三者皆達顯著差異(p<.05);但BMI指數、腰臀圍比及心肺適能則未達顯著差異。三、經規律有氧運動及墊上核心訓練之視覺障礙者,在生活品質之整體生理面向未達顯著差異,在生活品質之整體心理面向由72.87±14.896提升至80.44±11.085,達顯著差異(p<.05)。本研究結果證實,八週運動介入能有效提升視覺障礙者之肌力與肌耐力、並增強其柔軟度與平衡感,在生活品質方面能顯著提升其整體心理面向。建議未來研究者應規劃更長時間之運動介入課程,以增進視覺障礙者全面性之健康體適能及生活品質的成效表現,並進一步追蹤長期介入效果。

The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of an eight-week supervised aerobic exercise and core-training programme with moderate intensity on the physical fitness and quality of life of the visually impaired population. In this quasi-experimental study, 15 visually impaired middle-aged subjects were recruited. Subjects received 100 minutes of supervised core-training, including 50-minute aerobic exercise and 50-minute core-training, once a week for eight weeks. Measurements were implemented before the programme and every week during the programme, using the International Physical Activity Questionairre(IPAQ), physical fitness measurements(including body mass index (BMI), sit-and-reach, balance, 12-minute jogging/running, number of sit-ups performed in one minute) and Quality of Life Scale (SF-36) to measure each item data of the subjects. The results of this study were shown as follows: First, the subjects’ physical fitness was not significantly improved after they attended the regular aerobic exercises and on-mat core training; second, the physical fitness was significantly improved, in which muscular strength was improved from 11.33±5.97 to 16.80±4.61 times, muscular endurance was improved from 21.20±11.35 to 28.53±6.41 times, flexibility was improved from 19.2±12.43 to 35.66±8.81 cm, balance was improved from 21.87±21.51 to 49.33±18.55 sec). The α level was set at .05. The differences in body mass index, waist-hip ratio and aerobic fitness were not significant; third, after the visually impaired completed the regular aerobic exercise and on-mat core training, the physical aspect of the quality of life was not significantly improved, the mental component summary of the life quality was improved from 72.87±14.89 to 80.44±11.08 which was significant(p<.05 This study proved that the eight-week exercise programme effectively promotes muscular strength and muscular endurance of the visually impaired population and also increases their flexibility and balance. Furthermore, the mental component summary of the life quality of the visually impaired is obviously improved. Based on the finding of this study, researcher suggest that future studies might implement such exercise programme for a longer period to improve the physical fitness, quality of life and effective performance among the visually impaired population.
