實景動畫結合漢字藝術應用於城市意象之創作

摘要


漢字是中華文化中特有的語言符號,亦為臺灣所擁有的文化珍寶,它與我們的生活緊密相關,是台灣城市的重要元素。故本創作以漢字藝術為載體,以臺中城市為例,運用漢字造型藝術將特有元素轉化成3D動畫角色,藉由電腦視覺特效與實景拍攝結合,以動態影像形式呈現。 本研究藉由文獻分析法,透過相關文獻的整理與歸納,透析實景動畫的核心技術與漢字造形的設計原則,並將研究相關學理導入本設計創作中,再由台中城市意象中尋找具有代表性的元素,將景點元素與漢字作結合,應用電腦成像技術(Computer-generated imagery)與實拍場景(Live Action)技巧,創造漢字角色在城市景點中的新思維與新形式,最後將合成的原理與技術進行歸納,並將試驗過程詳加說明於本創作報告中。 創作過程發現,城市意象與漢字藝術行銷的結合關鍵,在於漢字於景點意象的呈現,必須從景點中尋找出最具代表性的字,並從字的形、音、義中了解景點的面貌,將更能達到景點與文化相輔相成之效。此外,將漢字運用於電腦動畫上,透過實景動畫合成技術,可賦予漢字角色生命力,使觀者實現更多想像,讓漢字藝術多元應用的可能性更加提升。   本創作以臺中市為試驗目標,將電腦動畫技術與美學做結合,透過提升城市推廣影片中的視覺效果,讓城市面貌能以更多元的方式呈現,以達觀者的共鳴與認同,希冀提升臺中城市的能見度,本創作將研究與經驗成果撰寫至論述,以供未來創作者研究參考。

Chinese characters are one of the representative symbols and a treasurable heritage in Chinese culture. It plays an important role and closely relates to people’s lives in Taiwan. Hence, this production used Chinese characters as carriers to transform the specific elements into 3D animated roles of Taichung city. Moreover, motion picture is the format of this production with the combination of visual effects and live actions. In this study, the main research method is document analysis. Through organizing and summarizing the related documents, it imported the core techniques of live action and the design principles of typography into this production. Then, in order to redefine the meanings and the forms of Chinese characters, the production applied the techniques of computer-generated imagery and live action to combine the representative elements in Taichung city with Chinese characters. Finally, the research shows the details of the testing process through summarizing the principles and techniques of composition. The production process indicates that the key of combining the impression of a city with the marketing of the art of Chinese characters is the connection between the character and the location. That is, choosing the most representative character according to the relative location is crucial to marketing. Furthermore, understanding the facets of the location through the form, sound, and meaning of a character enhances the cultural value of the place. What is more, the production technique of combining Chinese characters with computer-generated animation and live actions not only vitalizes the Chinese characters but also fulfills viewers’ imaginations and promotes the possibilities of abundant applications of Chinese character art. Taichung is the experimental city of this production. It enlarges the possibilities to present the cities in different ways through the combination of computer-generated animation and aesthetics, and the visual effects in city promotion films in order to cause consonance and identification in viewers’ minds. Hoping to elevate the visibility of Taichung city, the thesis specifies the details of the production process and experiences as a tangible reference for future creators.
