應用雙因子理論探討知識分享網站之使用性

An Application of Two-Factor Theory for Usability of Knowledge Sharing Website

摘要


近年來,Web 2.0概念的盛行,帶動了知識分享網站的興起。網站使用性為影響使用者知識分享動機的重要因素之一,然而目前國內研究仍鮮少針對知識分享網站之使用性進行探討。本研究以Herzberg的雙因子理論為框架,賦予知識分享網站上使用性因素之二維意涵,並釐清使用性因素之間的重要性差異,以期發展出明確的網站介面設計與規劃之目標,作為未來建構知識分享網站之參考,並提供一個網站使用性評估之框架。   本研究首先由文獻之內容分析得到網站使用性之15個構面(由59個因子所組成),經由使用者問卷調查結果,將59個使用性因子區分為「保健因子」與「激勵因子」,並依據統計分析結果對其進行重要性排序。研究結果發現,在知識分享網站上,達到良好之網站使用性能夠避免引起使用者不滿,但對於激勵使用者持續使用該網站則無顯著效果。

In recent years, "Web 2.0" has become a popular concept and led the rise of knowledge sharing websites which offer users platforms to share their knowledge by asking and answering questions. However, there are few studies on the usability of on-line knowledge sharing in Taiwan. This study uses Herzberg's two-factor theory, also known as the motivation-hygiene theory, in analyzing the usability factors for knowledge sharing websites to clarify which factors might contribute to the users’ satisfaction, and which factors might cause users’ dissatisfaction; hence these two set of factors will be the reference for developing knowledge sharing website in the future.   In this study, the result of content analysis showed that there were 15 usability dimensions, composed of 59 factors, related to the design and evaluation of knowledge sharing websites. From the statistical analysis of questionnaire data, 59 usability factors were divided into "hygiene factors" and "motivator factors", and the usability factors were ranked according to the analysis. The study found that knowledge sharing website with good interface usability could only avoid users’ dissatisfaction, but not significantly stimulate users to use the website continuously.
