利用黑雲母催化芬頓及過硫酸鹽氧化反應降解染料廢水

Biotite Activated Fenton and Persulfate Oxidation for Degradation of Dyeing Wastewater

摘要


本研究使用粉末狀黑雲母(Biotite)作為芬頓(Fenton)與過硫酸鹽(Persulfate)反應之催化劑。探討Fenton與persulfate反應結合超聲波(US)及熱(heat)程序來降解雙偶氮反應性染料Reactive Black 5 (RB5)與實際染整廢水之脫色效能,影響降解效能的因子包括Biotite、H2O2、persulfate、溫度、超聲波輸出功率使用時間、無機鹽類。研究結果顯示,處理RB5染料時,Fenton反應在最適合條件(Biotite 0.5 g/L、H2O2 1×10-3 M、55°C、pH值3.0)於10 min內,Fenton/55°C程序對5×10-5 M RB5,可達99%脫色效果;Persulfate反應在最適合條件(Biotite 0.5 g/L、PS 2×10-3 M、55°C)於10 min內,PS/Biotite/55°C程序對5×10-5 M RB5之脫色效果亦可達99%。使用實際染整廢水(初始真色色度為ADMI 950)測試時,Fenton反應同時結合熱與超聲波(Fenton/55°C/US),於適合條件下(Biotite 3.0 g/L、H2O2 4×10-3 M、55°C、US 106 W/cm2 20 min)處理50 min可將ADMI降至305;persulfate反應同時結合熱與超聲波(PS/Biotite/55°C/US),於適合條件下(Biotite 3.0 g/L、PS 4×10-3 M、55°C、106 W/cm2 20 min)處理50 min可將ADMI降至71。一階動力反應適用於描述Fenton、PS/Biotite程序對RB5染料及實際染整廢水之脫色動力反應。研究證實利用天然礦物Biotite催化Fenton及persulfate反應皆能有效降解反應性染料RB5;應用於實際染整廢水的處理上,也能有效降解染整廢水之真色度,達到放流水排放標準。

In this study, powdered biotite was used to activate Fenton and persulfate oxidation for decoloriation of an azo reactive dye (RB5) and real textile wastewater. Key parameters affecting the performance of oxidation processes including biotite dosage, H2O2 dosage, persulfate dosage, temperature, assistance of ultrasound, and inorganic salts were evaluated. Findings revealed that an optimum condition for RB5 degradation in the Fenton process was biotite 0.5 g/L, H2O2 1×10-3 M, 55°C, and pH 3.0. Under these conditions, Fenton/55°C process can remove 99% RB5 of 5×10-5 M. The optimum condition for RB5 degradation in the persulfate process (PS/Biotite/55°C) was biotite 0.5 g/L, PS 2×10-3 M, and 55°C, which can remove 99% RB5 of 5×10-5 M. As for the real textile wastewater (initial ADMI 950), the suitable conditions for Fenton’s reaction (Fenton/55°C/US) was biotite 3.0 g/L, H2O2 4×10-3 M, 55°C, and US 106 W/cm2 (20 min), which could reduce ADMI to 305 after 50 min treatment period. By using PS/Biotite process (PS/Biotite/55°C/US), the ADMI was further reduced to 71 under experimental conditions of biotite 3.0 g/L, PS 4×10-3 M, 55°C, and US 106 W/cm2 (20 min). Findings showed that such decolorization kinetics could be best described by pseudo-1st order equation. Results clearly indicated that natural Fe-mineral, biotite, can be used to catalyze Fenton and persulfate oxidation for effective decolorization of RB5 dye and real textile textile wastewater to meet stringent effluent criteria.
