外籍與大陸配偶子女參加課後托育之現況與其適應之關係

Participation in After-School Programs and its Relations to Adjustments of Children in Families with a Southeast Asian or Chinese Spouse

摘要


本研究旨在探討外籍與大陸配偶子女參加課後托育之現況與其適應之關係。研究目的有:一、描述台中縣外籍與大陸配偶子女參與課後托育之經驗。二、瞭解參與課後托育經驗與兒童、家庭因素之關係。三、探討在控制兒童與家庭選擇因素後,參與課後托育經驗與兒童發展之關係。 本研究使用問卷調查法,研究對象為96學年度台中縣15所國民小學(包括:霧峰鄉6所、大里市6所、太平市3所)國小之級任導師、家長及學童。共發出家長問卷387份及教師問卷387份。回收有效家長問卷共有294份,回收率為75%,有效教師問卷共有270份,回收率為69%。本研究之分析方法為描述性統計、卡方檢定、t-test與多元迴歸。研究結果發現: 一、台中縣外籍與大陸配偶子女參與課後托育之經驗 1.外籍與大陸配偶子女參加課後托育比例(68.0%)顯著高於未參加課後托育比例(32.0%)。 2.參加課後托育之學童中,參加校外安親(課輔)班之學童比例 (64.5%)顯著高於參加校內課後照顧班之學童比例(35.5%)。 二、參與課後托育經驗與兒童、家庭因素之關係 1.卡方檢定發現學童就讀年級與是否有參與安親(課輔)班有顯著關係,年級越低,參與課後托育比例越高。 2.參與校外安親(課輔)班之學童一年級國文成績之平均數顯著高於參與校內課後照顧班之學童一年級國文成績。 3.父親目前有工作之學童參與課後托育之比例較低,父親沒有工作或沒有父親之學童上課後托育的比例較高。 4.家裡沒有母親以及母親目前沒有工作之學童參與校內課後照顧班比例顯著高於參與校外安親(課輔)班之比例。 5.東南亞外籍配偶之子女參與課後托育比例有高於大陸配偶之子女參與課後托育比例之趨勢。 6.大陸配偶子女參與校外安親(課輔)班比例顯著高於東南亞外籍配偶子女參與校外安親(課輔)班之比例。 7.家庭每月總收入越高,學童參與校外安親班(課輔班)比例越高。 三、控制兒童與家庭選擇因素後,參與課後托育經驗與兒童適應之關係 1.控制學童與家庭因素後發現,參與校外安親(課輔)班預測較佳之數學成績。 關鍵字:外籍配偶、大陸配偶、課後托育、兒童適應

This study was intended to describe participation in after-school programs of children from families with a Southeast Asian or Chinese spouse, and its relations to children’s adjustments. There were three major objectives. 1. To describe participation in after-school programs of children from families with a Southeast Asian or Chinese spouse. 2. To identify child- and family-selection factors associated with those children’s experiences. 3. To examine the relations between participation in after-school programs and children’s adjustments, controlling for child and family-selection factors. Questionnaire survey was used to collect data. Participants included children from families with a Southeast Asian or Chinese spouse, their parents, and their homeroom teachers from 15 elementary schools (6 in Wufong, 6 in Dali, and 3 in Taiping) in Taichung county. Three hundred eighty-seven copies of questionnaires were sent to parents and teachers. Two hundred ninety-four valid parent questionnaires were returned, the return rate was 75%. Two hundred seventy valid teacher questionnaires were returned, the return rate was 69%. Descriptive statistics, Chi-square, Anova, correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression tests were used. Results indicated that 68% children participated in after-school programs, among them, 35.5% attended after-school programs in public elementary schools and 64.5% attended private after-school programs. Younger children were more likely to attend after-school programs. Children with better Chinese grade in the first grade were more likely to attend private after-school programs outside school, while children with poorer Chinese grade in the first grade were more likely to attend after-school programs inside elementary schools. Children with unemployed fathers or without fathers were more likely to attend after-school programs. Children with unemployed mothers or without mothers were more likely to attend after-school programs inside elementary schools. Children of Southeast Asian spouses were more likely to attend after-school programs than children of Chinese spouses. More children of Chinese spouses attended private after-school programs than children of Southeast Asian spouses. Children with higher family incomes were more likely to attend private after-school programs outside elementary schools. After controlling for child- and family-selection factors, participation in private after-school programs predicted better Mathematics grades, while participation in public after-school programs predicted poorer grades.
