以設計力介入鐵皮屋居住品質改善之研究

摘要


住宅頂樓加蓋鐵皮屋儼然已是國內建築特色的一部分,而且其中有一大部分都是作為居住空間使用。因為台灣多雨濕熱的氣候特徵,為了改善頂樓加蓋鐵皮屋漏水的問題,大部分頂樓加蓋鐵皮屋的外覆材防水設計都以密閉式的組裝施工方式為主,因此導致夏季時的浮力效應使得囤積於屋頂下方的熱空氣難以排放,而且常因種種施工問題導致施工品質不佳。本研究透過與鐵皮屋外覆材加工業者以及工程承包商之產學合作,希望證明設計力之介入,確實可以為此居住品質問題找到改善的適當對策。唯因本研究資源有限,無力將鐵皮屋之問題全面改善,故而依據煙囪效應的原理,選擇外覆材當中安裝於鐵皮屋最高處的中脊構件作為設計改良的標的。期藉此拋磚引玉,吸引更多設計界朋友投入鐵皮屋構件的設計改善。經邀請合作廠商共同參與中脊構件之問題探討,以確保能同時滿足消費者需求、具備量產可行性,以及提高施工效率與施工品質等三大目標。結果提出一項「通風中脊構件」之改良設計,且該通風中脊構件之防水性能已通過國際防水標準IPEX1的測試標準,並已提出新型專利申請(申請號:101219926)。本研究之結果除了完成通風中脊構件改良設計以外,也依照研究目的之期待而證明了透過設計師與外覆材加工業者,以及施工業者等三方面之構想整合與協同設計方式,確能有效改善鐵皮屋外覆材構件的設計品質,並從而改善鐵皮屋的居住品質。期待本研究之成果能夠激發更多設計界的朋友投入於鐵皮屋外覆材構件設計的改良,以期達到鐵皮屋居住品質的全面改善。

Rooftop additions of corrugated sheet metal had become an architectural character in Taiwan, and most of them are used for residential purposes; due to the humid and rainy weather in Taiwan, most these houses are suffering from leaking problems. To solve this problem, many construction contractors adopt sealant for waterproof, so that hot air were trapped and make the room unbearably hot. Besides, most contractors are relying too heavy on craftsmanship that ended up with poor finishing quality. This study collaborated with a house parts manufacturer and a contractor, hoping to demonstrate that a sound design intervention could improve living quality for rooftop additions of corrugated sheet metal. However, due to the limited resources of this study, it is impossible to solve the problems of all aspects. Therefore, the modification design for the roof ridge was chosen as the focus of this study. Wish that more attention from other designers will be attracted to solve the remaining problems together. This study insisted on the full participation of parts manufacturer and contractor, to simultaneously satisfy the needs of customers, mass production feasibility, and high finishing quality of constructions. Finally, the research result is an improved design of “Vented Ridge”. Its waterproof quality had been approved by the IPEX1 standard, and it is patent pending (#101219926). This study had not only finished an improved product design, but also proved that the living quality of rooftop additions of corrugated sheet metal can be improved when the designer, contractor, and manufacturer could collaborate well. Wish that more designers will be inspired to join their efforts to improve the living quality of rooftop additions of corrugated sheet metal thoroughly.
