設計部門溝通原則之探討─以具有完善管理制度之企業為例

摘要


工業設計部門的主要任務就是將企業的經營目標塑造為實際產品,但在塑造產品的過程中必須經歷產品開發的過程,在此過程中工業設計部門必須與不同的專業部門進行溝通,才能有效傳遞與接收所需之資訊,以便共同完成產品的開發工作。但不同部門對於經營目標之達成常有不同的觀點,因此須有良好的組織溝通來形成一致的共識,才能齊心齊力邁向經營目標之圓滿達成。 本研究之目的在針對具備完善管理制度之企業的工業設計部門,探討其產品開發過程中提升組織溝通效能之實務作為,並歸納為促進設計部門溝通效能之原則。先透過文獻資料蒐集與深度訪談蒐集資料,再以紮根理論作為研究方法主軸進行分析,最後將結論歸納為如下九項促進設計部門溝通效能的原則: (1) 須有明確的會議代表 (2) 須有明確的部門間溝通窗口 (3) 須有明確的對外溝通窗口 (4) 藉由標準化開發流程強化設計部門溝通 (5) 正式與非正式溝通並用 (6) 根據企業經營型態決定對外溝通的重點對象 (7) 根據企業的對外溝通重點對象決定溝通的重點議題 (8) 提倡視覺化溝通的文化 (9) 以面對面溝通建立共識 以上結論,期望能提供給其他台灣企業的設計部門主管作為改善組織溝通管理之參考依據,以提升其組織溝通效能。

The major task of Industrial Design Department is to realize the company’s goal by product creation, thus a series of product development process must be experienced in performing this task. Therefore, Industrial Design Departments need to communicate with various professional departments effectively to deliver and receive the required information so that the task of product creation can be accomplished jointly. However, different departments always have their own views towards the company’s goal, and thus effective organizational communications are required to build consensus, which will enhance cooperation between departments to achieve the company’s goal collectively. The aim of this study is to investigate Industrial Design Departments in companies with comprehensive management systems, to understand the efforts that they have done to enhance the effectiveness of organizational communications in their process of product development, then summarize them into principles of effective organizational communications of Industrial Design Department. This research began with literature survey and in-depth interviews to collect data, then analyze these data with the Grounded Theory Methodology. Finally, nine principles of enhancing organizational communications were reached as conclusions: (1) The conference delegates must be clear, (2) The contact window between departments must be clear, (3) The contact window of the company must be clear, (4) Using standardized product development process to facilitate communication, (5) Encouraging flexible usages between formal and informal communications, (6) The key target of outward communications must be adapted to the business model, (7) The major issues of outward communications must be adapted to the communication target, (8) Nurturing a culture of visual communications, (9) Promoting face-to-face communications to strengthen consensus. It is hope that the above conclusions will be useful references for those Taiwanese design managers who are trying to enhance design communication performance in their companies.
