舊城區、新「建」「意」:新建多用途建築與台中市舊城區之對話

摘要

台灣的都市的真相為何?都市景觀的多元與各行其是、住商混用的諸多面向、單位面積中高密度的使用…，在在顯示不同的慾望將呈現都市不同的實際樣貌。但在這些不同的樣貌下，都市亦因擁有不同身份的住民、不同的生活型態…等，而交織出不同的供給與需求。

本研究的內容除了觀測、記錄上述的現象之外，以不同領域有關「共生(symbioses)」的相關論述為基礎對其進行探究，並呼應台灣都市涵構的豐富與多變。最終以引介及擷取都市中的現象後、將其表徵(appearances)轉化並融合成為建築個案設計的依據與來源。

What is the real status of city in Taiwan? Such as the chaos of mix-usage purposes of commercial and residential, the high density usage of limited usage area, etc. These show us the desire rules the city and resulting the situation what we are facing. Consequently, the source of demand and supply of city are built up by different people’s desires and their identities.

This research is intending to study the status as mentioned previously by recording and observing them. Moreover, by introducing the descriptions of “symbioses” to develop the way of design according to the appearances of urban. All of these are trying to react the rich context and differences of our city and develop the different way further of design.
