產品使用之對比性節奏對期待意象之影響

The Influence of Rhythm Contrast in Using Products on Expected Image

摘要


對比是將兩種不同事物安排在一起,以突顯彼此間差異,進而加深人對事物印象之手法。本研究將產品操作方式與回饋兩者之節奏要素施以不同之對比變化,探討因節奏對比變化而產生之「整體使用感覺」、「操作方式」、「產品回饋」期待意象、與綜合評價喜歡、有趣五者間的因果模式。內容共包含以下三大部分:第一部分為依據「拉邦律動學」萃取之三大類對比性節奏型式,蒐集與對比性節奏相關之具體事例,再利用群集分析整理出分屬三種不同對比性節奏之9 項產品使用之對比性節奏類型。第二部分依前階段所得之對比性節奏類型設計成測試樣本,實施意象之測試,探討(1)產品使用上之對比性節奏與期待意象之對應關係。(2)具對比性節奏型式樣本之期待意象與綜合評價有趣及喜歡之因果關係。第三部分,經由共變異數構造分析,建構對比性節奏與期待意象之因果模式。 第一部分 : 產品操作方式與回饋所構成之不同之對比性節奏變化型式 分屬三種不同對比性節奏之9 項產品對比性節奏類型分別為: (1) 「由一個節奏突然直接轉換成另一個節奏」:「長時間的操作後,產品回 饋突然產生並瞬間結束」、「短時間的操作動作後,指示一個長時間的產品回 饋得到結果」、「漸快或漸慢的操作,產品給予一個與操作節奏相反的回饋後 結束」。 (2)「由一個節奏突然轉換成另一個節奏又恢復成原節奏」:「緩慢的操作, 突然給予一個產品回饋後又繼續操作,而得一結果」、「慢節奏的操作過程中, 產品回饋給予快操作之指示,之後恢復慢節奏之操作得到結果」、「快節奏的 操作過程中,產品回饋使動作變慢,之後又恢復繼續原快節奏,得到結果」。 (3)「兩個不同的節奏同時進行」:「快節奏之操作搭配快節奏之回饋」、「慢 節奏之操作搭配快節奏之回饋」、「慢節奏之操作搭配慢節奏之回饋」。 第二部分 : (1) 使用上具對比性節奏型式之樣本與期待意象間之對應關係 產品使用之對比性節奏意象可由表現使用過程之節奏變化的「曖昧突發-循 序分明」因素,及描述符合期待結果與否所產生之心理反應的「期盼-失落」 因素所構成。 對比性的節奏落差越強烈(40M.M.以上),且其產品視覺動態變化較大,予 人「曖昧突發」、「期盼」之感。 (2) 具對比性節奏型式之樣本之期待意象與綜合評價有趣、喜歡之因果關係 具「驚喜的」、「希望的」、「刺激的」意象會讓使用者感到有趣;具「希 望的」、意象會讓使用者有期待感且使用者喜歡使用。換言之,若能在產品 使用過程加入對比性節奏中,操作動作與產品回饋之節奏速度對比性高於 40M.M.的話,則能予人「希望的」、「驚喜的」、「刺激的」感受,便能產生有 趣、期待感並喜歡使用。 第三部分 : 對比性節奏與期待意象間之因果模式 (1)由所建構的模式得知,使用者在使用具「對比性節奏」特性之產品後,會產生曖昧突發的感覺,進而在產品使用過程中,對下一步的操作方式或是產品回饋產生期待,最後對產品產生期待感並給予有趣和喜歡的評價。 因此設計師在進行趣味商品設計時,若能夠將對比性節奏加入產品使用過程中,並將產品之操作與產品回饋之節奏速度落差度設定在40M.M.以上,並在使用過程中讓產品造型變化度提高,或是讓使用者等待一段時間(1S以上)才得到產品回饋結果,則將會讓使用者有突發感,而對產品之操作與回饋方式有所期盼,進而對產品產生期待並給予有趣和喜歡之評價。

Contrast can be the opposition of items that are compared, and which can let people remember things impressively. This study is to investigate the influence of the rhythm contrast in “the operation” and “the feedback” of products, and to construct the casual model among three parts of expected image which are “the final evaluation of using product ,” ”the operation ,” and “the feedback,” ,and synthesized evaluation which are “fun” and “well-used” of using process. The content is divided into 3 main parts: first is based on the theory “Labanotation”, 3 major categories of types of rhythm contrast, collect specific examples of rhythm contrast, then use cluster analysis to sort out 3 different types of rhythm contrast which include 9 types of using rhythm contrast. The second part is the influence of using rhythm contrast on expected image, with testing sample derived from different types mentioned in the previous section to conduct testing on expected image, examine (1) Correlation between sample of different using rhythm contrast and expected image. (2) Causal relation between expected image and synthesized evaluation of each sample group of using rhythm contrast. The third part is to construct causal model by using Structural Equation Modeling to express the relationships among using rhythm contrast and expected image. The main findings were as follow: First Part: Specific Design Method of Using Rhythm Contrast 9 specific types of using rhythm contrast of the 3 types of rhythm are: (1) “A rhythm transforms to another rhythm suddenly.”: “To operate product in a slow rhythm, then feedback appears and disappears suddenly”, “After a short operation, product gives a quick rhythm of feedback to obtain outcome”, “To do accelerating or decelerating operation rhythm, then feedback gives an opposite rhythm.” (2) “A rhythm transforms to another rhythm suddenly and then returns to previous rhythm.”: “To operate product in a slow rhythm, then feedback suddenly appears and disappears, and then returns to previous operation rhythm to obtain outcome.”, “To operate product in a slow rhythm, then feedback makes the operation rhythm quickly, and then returns to previous operation rhythm to obtain outcome.”, “To operate product in a quickly rhythm, then feedback makes the operation rhythm slowly, and then returns to previous operation rhythm to obtain outcome.” (3) “Two types of rhythms almost proceed in the same time.”: “The operation collocates the feedback in quick rhythm”, “The slow operation rhythm collocates the quick feedback rhythm.”, “The operation collocates the feedback in slow rhythm.” Second Part: (1) Correlation between Sample of Different Using Rhythm Contrast and Expected Image Image of the using rhythm contrast of products could be derived from the “ambiguously sudden – ordered clearly” factor which describes changes in the rhythm contrast of using process, and the “eagerness – depressed” factor which describes psychological response to expected results. If the drop height of using rhythm contrast is more than 40 M.M. and the product shape changes obviously in using process, it gives people a feeling of “ambiguously sudden” and “eagerness”. (2) Causal Relation between Expected Image and Synthesized Evaluation of Each Sample Group of Using Rhythm Contrast Using rhythm contrast entails images of “Pleasantly surprised”, “Promising”, “Exciting”, which brings a level of fun to users; “Promising”, which brings a level of expectancy and makes people like using the products. Third Part: Casual Model among Using Rhythm Contrast and Expected Image (1) By the results of Structural Equation Model, we found out that after using product with rhythm contrast factor, people would feel ambiguously sudden, and then expected the next operation or product feedback. Finally, they would have expectation on the products and like to use them. Generally speaking, using rhythm contrast could influence the expected image of using products; however, different using rhythm contrast of products would give people different expected images. If designer could include the factor of using rhythm contrast in funny product design, the drop height of using rhythm contrast was more than 40 M.M. and the product shape changed obviously in using process, it would gave people a feeling of “ambiguously sudden” and “eagerness”, and would create different expectancy for products in addition to making them more fun to use.
