成分對高折射率低溫Bi2O3-P2O5-GeO2/B2O3玻璃性質的影響

摘要


近年來,高折射率玻璃受到重視。利用模造的方式,可製備非球面,高的光學精密度的玻璃。相較於其它玻璃系統,鉍酸鹽玻璃具有高折射率及較低的玻璃轉移溫度等優點。但鉍酸鹽玻璃缺點是具有顏色。此缺點限制了其在光學元件方面的應用。 本研究中含兩玻璃成分系統:A:Bi2O3-P2O5-GeO2及B:Bi2O3-P2O5-B2O3。藉由改變成分以改善折射率、玻璃轉移溫度、可見光區穿透率及玻璃穩定性,系列A中,成分A2(10)有最高之折射率(nd=2.100)、低的玻璃轉移溫度(473 ℃)、在471 nm有70 %穿透率。但是玻璃穩定性較差。系列B中,成分B3(20)有最高之折射率(nd=2.035) 、低的玻璃轉移溫度(501 ℃)、在425 nm有70 %穿透率及良好的玻璃穩定性。因不含GeO2的Bi2O3-P2O5-B2O3玻璃系統成本較低,故有較好的發展性。本研究也探討了鉍酸鹽玻璃的顏色。玻璃中的Bi0含量提高,則玻璃顏色加深。藉由添加Sb2O5或降低熔融溫度的方式可減少Bi0含量,減弱顏色。本研究所得的高折射率玻璃仍有淡黃色。

Recently, high refractive index glasses receive many attentions. The aspheric and high-precision optical glasses can be made by molding route. Compared to other glass systems, bismuthate glass has the advantages of high refractive index and low glass-transition temperature. Howere, the color of bismuthate glass limites its application on optical components. Two glass systems Bi2O3-P2O5-GeO2 (system A) and Bi2O3-P2O5-B2O3 (system B) have been investigated in this thesis. The refractive index, glass-transition temperature, visible light transmittance, and glass stability of the glasses can be improved by composition modification. In system A the composition A2(10) has the highest refractive index (nd = 2.100), low glass-transition temperature (473℃), and 70% transmittance at 471 nm. But it has poor glass stability. In system B the composition B3(20) has the highest refractive index (nd = 2.035), low glass-transition temperature (501 ℃), 70% transmittance at 425 nm, and good glass stability. Because the Bi2O3-P2O5-B2O3 glass is GeO2-free and this is lower in cost. This thesis also discusses the color of bismuth glasses. The color of the glass becomes deep due to the increased Bi0 content. Adding Sb2O5 or lowering melting temperature can reduce the Bi0 content and thus weaken the color. The high refractive index glasses developed in this study still have slightly yellow color.
