自古以來竹在中國文人的心中,具有重君臣氣節、儒者不屈之崇高精神,故有君子之美稱,竹之文化及其應用已融入了中國人的生活之中。位處於亞熱帶地區的台灣,雖高溫多雨颱風頻繁,卻因而培育出許多優異的竹種,讓竹子的文化得以在台灣延續發展。在早期台灣農村社會、因環境與生活之需求,竹製的產品充分的融入於食、衣、住、行、育樂之中,竹對台灣人而言有著深厚特殊的情感,有鑑於此本研究為發揚台灣之竹文化,遂以設計研究之方式來進行台灣竹文化之設計應用。 本研究以分析竹之生活文化及特色,更以專家訪談的方式,來歸納出形而上、形而中、形而下三個文化層次的設計規範,同時也結合了現代科技之材料,來發展竹的文創商品,本研究將提供一實際之文創設計之方法,以供後學未來在進行文化設計時之參考,也藉此研究來推廣台灣之設計文化。
Since the ancient times, Chinese scholars have had high regards for bamboo, which represents monarch integrity and indomitability, thus it is reputed as a “gentleman.” The bamboo culture and its application have long been integrated into the Chinese people’s lives. Situated in the subtropical region, many types of excellent bamboo breeds have been cultivated in Taiwan despite the hot weather, abundant rainfall, and frequent typhoons, thereby enabling the continuous development of the bamboo culture in Taiwan. In the early times, due to the environment and living needs of the rural society in Taiwan, bamboo products were fully integrated in food, clothing, housing, transportation, and recreation. Bamboo means a lot to the Taiwanese people. In view of this, this study aimed to promote Taiwan’s bamboo culture, and its design and application were conducted through the design research method. In this study, the design specifications of three cultural layers: “abstract ideal,” “metaphysical,” and “empirical” were summarized by analyzing the living culture and features of bamboo and through expert interviews. Meanwhile, the modern materials were incorporated to develop bamboo-based cultural and creative products. In this study, a practical cultural and creative design method was provided to serve as a reference for follow-up researchers when engaging in cultural design, through which Taiwan’s design culture can be promoted.
