電子書閱讀器eReader的接受度測試--以大學社會系學生為例

摘要


現今社會,網際網路已是不可或缺的生活元素,舉凡電子郵件、瀏覽網頁、即時訊息傳遞,全球資訊皆可串連,早已改變人類生活型態,加上科技及行動裝置日益普及,使得傳統紙本學習模式面臨轉型的挑戰。 學習中引進新的資訊科技以增進閱讀學習效率是很常見的,為提高新科技之效益,對於使用者的接受行為研究就顯得重要。 本實證研究運用電子書閱讀器eReader融入教學學習上,測試學生於課堂學習的使用行為,其對學習成效影響,測試其被接受的可能性。本研究所採用之電子書軟體功能裡,有教學同步跟讀、協同筆記分享、閱讀輔助工具、註解與知識標記服務等功能,加強自我學習及與老師的溝通互動關聯,隨時掌握學生學習狀態。使其具備原本屬於紙本的功能又兼具電子書特性所開發的擴充功能。在評估部份,用深度訪談法及參與觀察法,並用團體訪談方式進行,作為本研究評估方式。研究結果顯示,最主要還是學習慣性不同,心態難以跳脫紙本學習模式,且獲得的成就感亦不同,且學生對於目前所拿到之電子書閱讀器,曾遭遇到在程式操作流程中所產生的困難、輸入法難找或觸控不易等功能問題,可推論現行電子書閱讀器在軟體設計上面,宜再加強使用者行為操作,電子書閱讀器之性能、設備及價格上亦應更普遍及平價。 綜論之,本研究在數位學習領域對於大學社會系學生所做的使用者閱讀行為實證研究,並證實使用電子書閱讀器最大問題在於讓學生學習上,如何循序漸進改進學習閱讀慣性,以逐漸替換紙本學習模式。

Internet is an indispensable life element nowadays, such as building web database, or real-time message communication; the information worldwide is connected with one another, and has changed human lifestyle. In addition, as computer technology prevails, the availability of internet has spread out into every aspect of our lives; for example, newspapers have been transformed into digital format. Under such circumstance, the learning model should not be limited within the traditional paper format. Introducing novel technology to enhance reading and learning efficiency is a common phenomenon. In order to increase the efficiency, the study on user acceptance behavior becomes more important. This study is concerned with implementing eReader into teaching and learning, especially the impact on learning efficiency according to students’ user behavior with eReaders in the classroom, and further evaluates its acceptance by students. Previous study has revealed the capability of e-book devices includes functions such as integrating associations among chapters, marking, notes, tagging and giving comments, which help learners in self-learning and interactions with instructors, and these features have eReader equipped with both features of paper format and electronic format. As for the evaluation, depth interviews and participants observations are applied, and conducted under group interviews. The result shows that the major difference between traditional reading and electronic reading lies in the learning habit, which denotes students’ learning cannot get rid of traditional ways, and the self fulfillment from electronic reading is also different. What is more, students concerning the difficulties students encountered, such as operation difficulty, input method problem or touch panel problem, it is inferred that the software design of current eReader products still have space for improvement, especially the user behavior operation, and the hardware performance and price should be more friendly. In conclusion, the study is a proof study on user reading behavior of college students of sociology department in digital learning domain. This study proved that the major problem lies in students’ learning; particularly, how to gradually improve learning and reading habits, in order to replace the paper format learning eventually.
