以PU模板製作網狀多孔氧化物陶瓷

摘要


本研究使用經NaOH浸蝕處理後之聚氨酯(polyurethane) 海棉(每英吋4~6個孔洞)為模板,以含浸方式披覆Al2O3、ZrO2、Al2O3-20vol%ZrO2陶瓷漿料並以噴氣法、預置擠壓法除漿後,兩段式升溫至1450℃燒結兩小時以製備網狀多孔陶瓷。調整漿料濃度並調整酸鹼值pH=4時,可控制陶瓷披覆量與黏度。實驗中,可含浸的漿料黏度為0.1~81.3Pa‧s之間,在此範圍下ZrO2漿料受限於濃度過低(10~15vol%),於本研究中不適用於披覆製作網狀多孔陶瓷; 0Al2O3漿料黏度適合披覆程序的濃度區域介於25vol%~ 30vol%(6.85~81.3Pa‧s),可製作出擁有抗壓強度0.2 MPa的試片。使用Al2O3-20vol%ZrO2混合漿料濃度控制在30vol%,粉末披覆量達2.9cm3/g PU,可燒結出抗壓強度為0.41MPa的網狀多孔陶瓷。將PU海棉支柱形狀經由225℃熱處理鈍化尖角後,以此模板製作Al2O3-20vol%ZrO2之試片抗壓強度達到1.6MPa為本實驗製作最佳結果。

Reticulated porous Al2O3, ZrO2, Al2O3-20%ZrO2 porous oxide ceramics were fabricated by replica method using polyurethane sponge as templates. Polyurethane sponge was fist treated with NaOH solution. Then it was dipped into Al2O3, ZrO2, or Al2O3-20%ZrO2 slurry. Excess slurry was removed either by a preset rollers or by air jet blowing. After drying, the samples were heated to remove PU and binder, followed by 1450℃/2hr sintering. Slurries of ~30vol% solid content were suitable for coating. The coating amounts were 2.5 cm3 per gram of PU for Al2O3, 2.9cm3 per gram of PU for Al2O3-20vol%ZrO2 slurries. The sintered samples exhibited 0.2MPa for Al2O3 and 0.41MPa for Al2O3-20vol%ZrO2 in compressive strength. After shape modification of PU struts by heating at 225 ℃, the fabricated Al2O3-20vol%ZrO2 sample could increase its compressive strength to 1.6MPa.
