臺中市私立國民小學家長選校決策考量因素之研究

摘要


本研究旨在瞭解臺中市私立國民小學家長選校考量因素之現況及,並探究不同背景變項家長在學校選擇考量因素上之差異情形,本研究採問卷調查法進行研究,以臺中市六所私立國民小學之家長為研究之母群體,以自編之「臺中市私立國民小學家長選校決策考量因素之調查問卷」為研究工具,回收有效樣本581人。使用描述性統計、t考驗、單因子變異數分析與與卡方考驗進行資料分析。本研究獲致的結論分述如下: 一、家長選校決策考量因素各層面重視程度依序為「安全性」、「行政與 教學團隊」、「學習環境」、「課程內容」、「學習成果」、「便利性」。 二、在「學習環境」層面中「學校具有良好校風」最受重視。在「行政與教學團隊」層面中「學校的教師素質良好」最受重視。在「課程內容」層面中「學校能將特色課程融入教學與日常生活中」最受重視。在「學習成果」層面中「學生各方面發展均衡,具競爭力」最受重視。在「安全性」層面中「學校提供通過認證且營養衛生安全的午餐服務」最受重視。在「便利性」層面中「學校有合法的校車接送」最受重視。 三、不同背景變項在選校決策考量因素的差異情形 (一)不同「子女就讀學校」背景變項中:不同私立國民小學之家長對「學習成果」層面之重視程度有顯著差異。 (二)不同「教育程度」背景變項中:專科之家長對「安全性」與「便利 性」層面,比研究所之家長更為重視。 (三)不同「職業」背景變項中:高級專業人員或高級行政人員之家長對「安全性」層面較專業人員或中級行政人員之家長更為重視。 (四)不同「家庭社經地位」背景變項中:中高程度之家長對「便利性」層面較高等程度之家長更為重視。 (五)不同「住家離校距離」、「年齡」、「收入」、「性別」、「選校決定權」 之家長,在選校決策考量因素各層面上,並無顯著差異存在。 四、住家附近如果有與私立小學相似特色的公辦民營小學,表示會選擇的家長達68.16%;而不考慮的家長佔31.84%。

This research aims to study the current situation on the parents’ considerations of choosing private elementary school in Taichung City and to explore the differences within background variables of parents in above aspects. Questionnaire is conducted in the study. To attain the purpose mentioned above, A valid sample of 581 parents drawn from six private elementary school in Taichung City. The instruments employed in this study were “the parents’ considerations of choosing private elementary school in Taichung City Scale” made by the author. Returned questionnaires were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA,and chi-square test. Data analysis yield the following results: 1. The most important dimension of the Parental Choice factors of Private Elementary School is “safety”, followed by “administrative and teachers”, and still followed by“learning environment”, “curriculum”, “learning outcomes” and “convenience”. 2. Parents take the followings seriously: a good atmosphere in learning environment area; a qualified teacher in administration area; characteristic courses can be combined with life in curriculum area; the balanced development of students in learning outcomes area; providing safe lunch in security area; legal school shuttle service in convenience area. 3. Different backgrounds of parents lead to different consideration variables. (1) Parents with different school background had significant differences toward "learning outcomes". (2) Parents with different education background had significant differences toward "safety" and "convenience". Parents graduated from Junior College had higher importance than those who graduated from Graduate School. (3) Parents with different occupation background had significant differences toward " safety ". Parents of the high level specialists or administrators had higher importance than the general specialists and the middle-order administrators. (4) Parents with different socio-economic status background had significant differences toward " convenience ". The high level specialists or administrators had higher importance than the general specialists and the middle-order administrators. (5) There were not significant differences on the considerations of choosing private elementary school among the parents with different distance from school to home, age, income, gender, and decision-makers . 4. If there is a public school that has similar characteristic as private school built in the neighborhood. There will be 68.16% parents choose it, and 31.84% won’t consider about it.
