The advantage of aerosol therapy is the direct application of the medication to the respiratory tract, optimizing therapeutic effects but decreasing the side-effects of medication. The deposition of particles in the respiratory tract is determined by the physical mechanisms and the patients inhaling the particles. With the advances of modern technology, new devices of nebulization were developed for delivering drugs at inspiration only. However, parents' understanding of the correct use of inhalational technique and adherence remain of utmost importance for successful nebulization.
