This study is to investigate the theory of spirituality in the purpose of constructing a foundation for spiritual education. Firstly, this paper illustrates the concept of spirituality, includes the context of spirituality relates to personality, nature, belief and culture aspects. Secondly, it particularizes the spirituality functional in psychological theories, religion, nature philosophy, and wilderness mind. Then, it explores the educational modality for spiritual development. Whereas nature philosophy is to explore the beginning of things and human nature to reason nature phenomena and personal existence, and the wildness mind enriches human wisdom and personal soul, the integration of humanity with nature philosophy to extract the essence of spirituality for scientific explanation and pedagogical development is the essential for personal well-being and civilization in the society.
