Liu Xie's ”Wen Xin Diao Long‧Shen Si” was an outline of literary creation. It mainly described characteristics of artistic imagination. The requirements and suggestions to create artistic imagination were also mentioned here. Furthermore, Liu Xie deep analyzed how an author created his own works. Liu Xie's literature critic was unique and penetrating, showing his marvelous intelligence. Therefore, here I'm going to analyze the artistic imagination and the thoughts for writings in ”Shen Si”.
