Measuring the New Product Development Performance of Small and Medium Enterprises in Taiwan

摘要


創新和新產品發展對經濟發展而言是極其重要的。本研究針對台商食品產業環境的新產品發展成功經驗發掘出對台商中小企業新產品成功和新產品發展績效的成功關鍵因素。研究樣本包括了385名台商中小企業食品產業分析結果顯示客戶接受度市場接受度財務績效和技術程度測量等四項為成功關鍵成功因素。另研究之其他發現及相對應之建議亦在本文中也被討論及提議。

Innovation and new product development (NPD) are essentially considered to be important to economic development. This study is aiming at the NPD success experience in Taiwanese food industries, and determines the key factors leading to the success of NPD performance for Taiwanese small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The research sample included 385 SMEs from food manufactures. The results have showed that customer acceptance, market acceptance, financial performance, and technical-level measurement are the four key factors for achieving success for Taiwanese food industries. Some other research findings and corresponding suggestions are also presented and proposed in this paper.
