The lower crossed syndrome is characterized by muscle imbalances cause postural imbalance. Activate/shortening of muscles include the gastro-soleus muscle, hip flexors, hamstrings, adductors, piriformis muscle and tensor fasciae latae. Inactivate/inhibit muscles include the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, quadratus plantae muscle, peronei muscle, and abdominal wall muscles. This imbalance will result in the hip joint bending and compensatory lumbar lordosis then cause the hip and lower back under excessive stress and pain. This paper analyzes the structural stability of the waist, its postural and phasic muscles, Meridian and collateral kinship relations, then develops acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of local and distal acupoints point method, and dealing the treatment policy of low back pain caused by lower crossed syndrome. We hope to propose treatment recommendations for clinical Chinese medicine practitioners in treatment of lower back pain.
