Rosalind, a Heroine Shaped by the Comic World in As You Like It

蘿瑟玲，”如你所願”－劇中喜劇世界塑形的歡樂女英雄

摘要

（一）乍讀莎士比亞喜劇，“如你所願”，讀者莫不為劇中女主角蘿瑟玲（Rosalind）機伶、活潑的個性所吸引。在折服於她個人魅力之餘，不少讀者進而神化蘿瑟玲在創中所佔的地位，認定她具有扭轉乾坤之力改變她週遭的事與物。
（二）本文旨在探究劇中世界對蘿瑟玲的影響及她在劇中所真正扮演的角色。經由文中五個章節的分析，我希望提供讀者一個不同的欣賞角度。此五大章節探討喜劇中為蘿瑟玲塑型的五大主的要因素，它們依次是“喜劇催化者”、“地點”、“時間”、“喬裝”及“結婚”五章。
（三）第一章“喜劇催化者”探討西莉亞（Celia）對於該劇所作的貢獻。由於西莉亞的善良與機智，蘿瑟玲才得以逢凶化吉，進而成為光彩耀眼的喜劇女英雄。第二章及第三章的“地點”與“時間”則在於分析空間上的轉移及時間上的延伸提供劇中人物緩衝力處理他們人生中的危機。基於此二因素的配合，蘿瑟玲避開悲劇人物所必需面臨的衝突或死亡。第四章“喬裝”分析蘿瑟玲如何化父系社會加諸於女子的行為規範為她個人爭取言行自由的有效方式。第五章“結婚”討論社會集體觀點如何影響讀者對劇中女英雄的期盼。
由於社會集體意識認定婚姻十客體與團體圓滿的結合，更是女性最美滿的歸宿，因此蘿莎玲在劇末結婚一事完美地實現讀者對喜劇快樂結局的期盼。

This study presents and alternative perspective for exploring the complexity of Rosalind's characterization and the organic structure of the play As You Like It. To clarify the actuality of Rosalind's role as a comic heroine in the play, I concentrate my analyses on five forces of the comic world – catalyst, place, time, crossdressing, and marriage. Through examining these five forces, I present As You Like It as a play in which the characters and the comic world dynamically interact with each other. Based on this mutuality, this study deconstructs the static stereotype of Rosalind's perfectness and reconstructs a recognition of her multiplicity as a comic heroine.
