Digital Immigrants' Artistic Practices-Aesthetic Perspectives from Traditional to Digital Creative Experiences
數位移民之藝術實踐－從傳統到數位創作的美感經驗
摘要
本文透過深度訪談的研究方法，試圖探討科技發展影響下的數位移民（如現代的數位藝術家）之藝術實踐與數位藝術領域之未來發展。從文獻探討綜述兩個研究問題：1. 數位移民對於高科技的波動與介入當代藝術中，數位藝術的形式呈現之觀點：2. 數位移民的數位與傳統創作經驗為範疇之藝術實踐。本研究檢視數位移民的數位與傳統創作經驗所延伸之相關議題，包含跨領域合作的創作體驗、高科技與藝術之間相互關係、電腦應用於藝術創作實踐、數位藝術美學的特徵。調查結果顯示，未來數位藝術很可能會更加深跨領域的協同合作模式，這種跨領域的合作將帶動新興之藝術創作手法與形態。此外，數位藝術家從傳統創作經驗轉變成數位創作經驗的美感思維、藝術詮釋、作品型式，反映著數位時代的社會現象和文化符號的脈絡。

The aim of this paper is to investigate digital immigrants' (e.g. most contemporary digital artists) artistic practices and the possible direction of digital art as influenced by the development of high technology through the implementation of interview studies. Two key issues were addressed based on the literature review: 1) digital immigrants' perspectives of presenting digital art forms based on the development of high-technology' and 2) The relationship between digital immigrants' digital and traditional experiences for a range of artistic practices.The participants' digital arts experiences related to interdisciplinary collaborations, the relation between high-technology and art, artistic processes using computers, and the aesthetic character of digital art were compared with their traditional arts experiences. The important findings show that the future of digital art is likely to be even more interdisciplinary in nature, with increased cooperation between artists and individuals in a number of different fields, such as engineers and designers of computer software and hardware. Such interdisciplinary collaborations will lead to new forms of emerging arts practices in the digital age. In addition, the concepts of digital art are influenced by the context of social phenomena and cultural symbols, as reflected in the participants' artworks in terms of aesthetic perspectives, artistic express ions and art forms.
