In preparing children to connect between primary schools and preschools, it has been an exploratory issue on whether children has possessed the required basic learning skills and how early childhood education develops those basic learning skills. The purpose of this study is to design a simplified version, short and easily administrated evaluation sheet. The assessment were first pre-tested, then revised before administrating to two preschools-one kindergarten and one daycare, all four-years old children; total 84 children participated this study. The result showed the four year old need continuing development in the areas of logic memory, language explanation, reasoning, and problem solving. The implication of this study is to better understand preschoolers' basic learning skills, to assist teachers to design curriculum and pedagogy in according to young children's individual difference. It allows teacher to show parents about each young child's progress from the beginning of the school year and the end of school year.
