Contemporary culture policies have become the main cultural trend in urban and local redevelopment in the 21(superscript st) century. There are many successful examples of urban development being led by cultural policies and shabegce's in weghern European cities. Similarly, cultural policy aimed at improving the economic and symbolic value of city and transforming the effect of urban marketing has also been proceeding currently in I-Lan county, Taiwan. This study attempts to analyse the processes and outcomes of the implemertation of 1-Lan's cultural style, to seve as a reference for the promotion of culture in other towns and counties.
