Archery is a sport which seems simple but is quite complicated in reality, and players have to devote their time and energy to improve the skills required for archery. Besides repeated practice, applying instruments to judge the accuracy of archery motion is even more important. Many domestic studies have investigated the correlation between archery performance and certain key factors, such as aiming time, hand tremor, reaction time, muscular endurance of the bow arm, respectively. However, few of these studies considered planter pressure as a possible factor in archery performance, and the feasibility of assessing players' performance by planter pressure analysis is still an open question. In this study, first we introduced how to assess performance in perpendicular sport by planter pressure and weight shift analysis. Subsequently, we showed the variation of planter pressure under different shooting stances. Finally, we discussed the correlation between planter pressure and each archery phase. We hope our study can provide a performance estimation method for archery.
