Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of the foam rolling on Dynamic Performance Measures. Methods: The participants in this study are thirteen trained male athletes from the UBL baseball teams (height, 174.54 ± 5.21 cm; body mass, 81.54 ± 13.36 kg; age, 19.77 ± 1.12 years; back squat 1RM, 125.77 ± 14.39 kg). All the participants had been tested the broad jump and vertical jump before this study conducted. All subjects were randomly assigned into the foam rolling group (FR, n=7) or control group (CON, n=6). All the subjects followed the same testing protocol. Involving 10 sets of 10 repetitions of back squats at 60% of their 1-repetition maximum, rested for 2 minutes between sets. After 0、24、48、72 hours, they were measured each observations. The FR group performed FR exercise protocol at the end of each testing session. Mixed design of two-way ANOVA and Fisher's Least Signification Difference Procedure was used for post hoc tests (α= .05). Results: broad jump: The use of foam rolling massage showed no significant difference between two groups on broad jump, On 0、24 hours two groups broad jump distance significant differences lower (p < .05). On 72 hours recovery to pre testing; vertical jump: The use of foam rolling massage showed no significant difference between two groups on broad jump, On 0 hours two groups broad jump distance significant differences lower (p < .05). On 72 hours recovery to pre testing. Conclusions: This study approves that the foam rolling massage can't relief dynamic performance measures after strenuous exercises, but such as muscle damage, future studies are needed to investigate.
