Based on two manuscripts newly excavated from Hetian area of Xinjiang ethnic autonomous region which could be identified as parts of the text of the Classic of Filial Piety with Confucian Zhengxuan's exegeses, this article re-examines the condition in which the Confucian classics were produced and circulated in Khotan region reigned by the Tang Dynasty. And also, associated with other relevant documents, this article describes the complex aspects of multicultural interaction and communication in medieval Tarim Basin including Khotan area.
