大專教科書篇章隨選出版之研究

A Study of Article-on-Demand of College Textbook Publishing

摘要


目前台灣大專院校教科書的選用,絕大部分是由授課的老師決定,因為老師是嚴選教材內容的決策者,不是最終的消費者。教科書篇章隨選出版,可以讓教師在選擇教科書時,能夠得到最新、最佳與最多的教材內容,以便增加教學的彈性,且還可提昇教學品質,間接建立學生尊重「著作財產權」與「使用者付費」的基本觀念。由於印刷科技發展的日新月異,且印刷科技電子化是未來的趨勢,「數位印刷」在技術上己經相當成熟,而大專教科書採用「篇章隨選」出版機制,是大學出版社的一種新的行銷模式。本研究使用文獻分析法及半結構型深度訪談法,進行對台灣大專院校大學出版社主管的訪談。訪談的結論是大部分的大學出版社主管相當認同此項概念,因為是可以解決出版社庫存問題與降低印刷成本,但在智財權的教育上、資料庫的建置、篇章出版教科書的定價、教材的防盜拷措施與出版社和教師的獲利等等,都是有需要加以考量的。此外要成功的推廣此機制,是可以參考國外成功的經驗並符合國內現有機制,還要跨領域結合不同的專業,期待在對出版社本身(包含資料庫提供者)、教師與大學生之間的創造三贏的局面。

The current selection of the college textbooks are made by the college teachers. They are the textbooks' decision-makers, not the end consumers. The Article-on-Demand (AOD) publishing is allowed teachers to get the most updated and the best information as the teaching content. It can be increasing the teaching flexibility and teaching quality. It could help students to build up the basic idea to respect the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and everything needs to pay. The printing technologies improve dramatically and it is the trend that printing industry is heading to the digitalization. Therefore the technology digital printing is matured enough to serve the OD publishing as the new marketing model of university press. The research methods of literature review and depth interview were used in this study to those directors of the university press. The results could be conclude most directors agreed with this concept since it could solve the inventory problem and also reduce the printing cost. The education of the IPR, build-up of the database, determined price of the AOD textbook, anti-countering of the teaching materials, and the benefits of the university press and teachers need thorough consideration. The successful foreign experience needs combining with the current situation in Taiwan. We also need integrate different professions to expect the win-win situation for university press (including the database provider), teachers, and college students.
