產品圖解使用指南在使用性的應用探討-以投影機為例

摘要


本研究是以操作投影機爲範例,探討產品圖解使用指南在使用性的學習成效,將產品的操作內容,以簡明易懂的圖解,循序漸進的引導初次操作該投影機的使用者,順利的操作該產品。經由此次的研究發現,以績效量測法、邊說邊做法與問卷調查法作爲評估其使用性的依據,觀察、記錄受測者操作該產品的過程,找出問題點。經重新改良原圖解內容的缺點,繪製大小不同的四張改良圖解,貼在發生問題點的相關位置上,並以三塊紅色膠帶貼在有操作問題的零件上,以強化其提示性後,再進行操作使用測試,記錄過程中每個步驟所需之時間,進行變異數分析。經過五次實驗驗證的結果顯示,控制經與實驗組的操作時悶在95%信賴水準下有顯著差異,證明確實達到預期的改良成效,降低了該型投影機的操作難度。

Using an overhead projector (OHP) as example, the research was a study of the usability of the graphic instruction label on a product. Cur study applied performance measurement, thinking aloud protocol, and questionnaires as the methods to estimate the usability of the OHP. We first observed and recorded the operation processes of the product in order to discover usability problems. Then, after identifying the drawbacks of the original label designs, we designed step-by-step, user-friendly graphic instruction labels to guide first-time users. In all we designed four improved labels of different sizes and placed them on those locations of the OHP where we had observed the initial usability problems. In order to stress the most problematic points we also placed pieces of red tape on those parts that had caused operative problems. After five series of experimentation, we find it proven that the graphic instruction label on the product has made the OHP easier to handle for the beginner and that we have reached the preset goal of the study.
