Because of the severe pneumatization of maxillary sinus, the sinus perforation may occur during the operation of dental implantation. Therefore, sinus lift procedure was invented to lift the sinus membrance safely and the bone grafts or membranes were usually applied to ensure the stability of the lifted sinus. On the other hand, the bone graft is not necessary used during autogenous tooth transplantation. Because the transplanted tooth can provide support for the lifted sinus membrane, and the periodontal ligament cells on its root may enhance the effect of osteogenesis. We provide a case who suffered from loss of maxillary posterior teeth, and then received twice procedures of auto- transplantation of tooth combined with sinus lift to restore her chewing function. Through these procedures, the patient's maxillary posterior area was restored fast and economically and then achieved a good long term result.
