本研究旨在瞭解目前台南縣市國小桌球代表隊運動參與動機之現況,並比較不同背景變項的台南縣市國小桌球代表隊學童在運動參與動機上之差異情形。本研究以98學年度台南縣市國小桌球代表隊之學童,共計80名為研究對象,進行問卷調查,共發出問卷80份,有效問卷為70份,有效問卷回收率為87.5%。並獲得以下結論:台南縣市國小桌球代表隊的參與桌球運動的年齡相當早;參與動機之高低依序為技術需求、健康需求、成就需求、刺激避免,以及社會需求;不同「性別」、「年資」、「開始學打桌球時間」、「最高比賽層級」、「最佳比賽成績」之台南縣市國小桌球代表隊在健康需求、成就需求、社會需求、刺激避免、技術需求與整體參與動機等構面皆未達顯著差異水準;不同年級之台南縣市國小桌球代表隊在刺激避免構面上,國小六年級組顯著高於國小五年級組,其餘各構面均未達顯著差異水準。
This research was aimed to understand current participation motives for elementary school table tennis teams from both the Tainan City and the Tainan County. The comparison was also made to understand the difference of different background variables of participation motives among the elementary school table tennis teams from both the Tainan City and Tainan County. There were 80 elementary school students selected from elementary school table tennis teams for questionnaire surveys. There were totally 80 questionnaires delivered with 70 valid replies received. Valid replies were rated at 87.5%. The results were concluded as below. The ages of elementary school students to join table tennis school teams were quite young. Participation motives were orderly ranked as skill needs, health needs, achievement needs, stimulus avoidance and society needs. For the dimensions of integrated participation motives about health needs, achievement needs, society need, stimulus avoidance and skill needs, they did not reach the levels of significant variance among the students from elementary school table tennis teams. For the dimension of stimulus avoidance, among different graders from elementary school table tennis teams, the levels of 6th graders were significantly higher than those of 5th graders. The other dimensions did not reach significant levels.
