It is widely believed that the importance of being healthy is beyond words, but it is very difficult to define health. Health has a wide range of definition, from physically ill-free to the consonance of our body and mind. Health and illness are pulling two ends of the string of our bodies and only when a person is suffering serious illness can he/she realize the uniqueness and irreplaceable of his/her own body. This paper is a narrative of my own experience in not being able to completely cure the illness but trying to co-exist with the illness. We applied a theory of phenomenological sociology, starting from the ”Lebenswelt” proposed by Schutz to observe such illness experience which is caused by stress. Furthermore, we also investigated the phenomena that the body disappears, being partitioned, and mechanized during medical treatments.
