摘要

我試著以三個落居台東池上平原的外省榮民生命故事，述說在近代中國巨變的時代中，國家如何攫取和支配個人的生命，個人又如何在有限的條件和機緣下，尋找生命中的出口，以及，流亡異鄉的老兵又如何看待身體所寄留的池上平原。三位伯伯的故事容有差異，但對中國原鄉或台灣在地的認同在某種程度上都無法安頓，成爲一群生命中有著難以言詮苦楚的後山流亡者。

I try to narrate the life stories of three mainlanders living in Chyr-Shan Plain, Eastern Taiwan, for understanding their identity of place. For this purpose, I interpret the state control, personal encounter in three stories' context; and then, I find that they are out of place. Tramping in Eastern Taiwan with speechless sorrow, they are absent of mind although they dwelled in Chyr-Shan Plain for a long time.
