影響台北市社區型態安養護機構住民營養狀況及其相關因素之探討

Nutritional Status and Its Related Factors among Residents in Community-Based Long-Term Care Facilities in Taipei

摘要


長期照護機構住民的營養狀況影響其健康狀況甚鉅,因此有必要瞭解長期照護機構住民之營養狀況及其影響因素。本研究為橫斷式相關性研究,研究目的為了解影響居住於長期機構中住民營養狀況的相關因素。研究母群體為台北市所有178家社區型態長期照護機構,所得有效樣本數共603人。研究結果發現約25%到30%的機構住民呈現營養不良狀況;另由BMI來看,有30.3%的住民屬於體重過重,腰圍過大者有63.8%;血中總膽固醇高於200mg/dl的比例有32.5%,長期照護機構中住民潛伏代謝性症候群之危機。本研究發現影響機構住民營養狀況的因素包括性別、年齡、教育程度、身體活動能力、認知功能及飲食途徑。本研究建議安養護機構應定期評估住民的營養狀況,並據以訂出個別化且符合個人所需的飲食照護計畫,方可有效改善住民的營養狀況。

Nutritional status is closely related to the health status of residents at long-term care facilities. Thus, it is important to explore the nutritional status and its correlators among residents at long-term care facilities. A cross-sectional design with a descriptive correlation design was employed in this study. In total, 178 community-based long-term care facilities and 603 residents participated in this study. Results of this study showed that 25-30% subjects were malnourished status. 30.3% of subjects were overweight from the result of body mass index (BMI) measurement. 63.8% of subjects had larger waist measurement and 32.5% of subjects had cholesterol was higher than 200 mg/dl. The prevalence of metabolism syndrome is worrisome for those residents living in community-based long-term care facilities. This study found that the correlators of subjects' nutrition status were gender, age, educational levels, ADLs, cognition status, and eating habits. This study found that it is important to assess residents' nutritional status regularly and to set a personal dietary plan according to the results of nutritional status and personal preferences in order to improve their nutritional status.
