摘要

圖書館學五律（The Five Laws of Library Science）起源於冒點分類法（Colon Classification），係印度圖書館學家阮甘納桑（S. R. Ranganathan）所創。五律雖然由圖書分類出發，但已被用於引證參考服務、圖書館學理論發展、圖書館評鑑、採訪業務及組織系統分析等等。本文亦試著也將圖書館學五律來論證圖書館建築，探討在圖書館學五律之下圖書館建築應該呈現怎樣的風貌。圖書館學五律下的圖書館建築，不僅能歸納出「讀者導向」與「發展導向」兩大準則，亦能融合圖書館建築基本理念及建築要素，並且也演繹出這兩者與五律之間相似之處的理念其實是共通的，又能符合圖書館建築之規劃設計的基本原則。透過本文的研究不僅能對圖書館建築之理念要素、規劃設計有所瞭解，亦能藉由闡述圖書館學五律下的圖書館建築，使五律對圖書館學的影響更為廣遠。

The Five Laws of Library Science originate from Colon Classification by S. R. Ranganathan. The Five Laws are now in widespread application gradeually, so this article will follow the Five Laws to design and analyze library architecture.”User oriented” and ”developmental oriented” can deduce from the Five Laws, and combine the three items of library architecture, fundamental, element, essential of design. We can understand above-mentioned viewpoint by this article, and believe that influence of the Five Laws is deeper and farther.
