美國大學圖書館性別少數族群館藏發展政策初探

由於我國性別少數運動已行之有年，性別少數族群（Lesbians、Gays、Bisexuals、Transgender，簡稱LGBT）的社會能見度因而逐年增加，讓主流社會較以往對該族群有較多的關注。然而，在圖書館方面，相較於提供給其他少數族群，如身心障礙或新移民等的資源與服務，目前國內圖書館較缺乏對性別少數族群的關注，因而並未制定相關的館藏發展或服務政策與指引，來規範圖書館應對性別少數族群提供的資源。由於館藏是圖書館提供服務的重要組成部分，因此，本文希望藉由檢視在美國圖書館學會所屬之Rainbow Round Table列出的4所美國大學圖書館為LGBT族群制定的館藏發展政策，瞭解各館政策內容，除期盼引發國內圖書館界對LGBT族群服務的重視外，亦希望能夠提供有意制定LGBT族群館藏發展政策的圖書館參考。

The LGBT movements in Taiwan, have been going on for many years, which has increased the social visibility of LGBT, and has made the society pay more attention to LGBT than before. However, compared with the resources and services provided to minority and disadvantaged groups, such as people with disabilities and new immigrants, libraries currently lack relevant collection development policies and guidelines to regulate the resources provided by the library in response to the need of LGBT. Since library collections are an important component of library services, this article reviews LGBT collection development policies formulated by 4 American university libraries listed by American Library Association Rainbow Round Table in order to understand the purposes and content of these polices and guideline. By reviewing library collection policies, this article hopes to encourage libraries focus on the collection and services provided to LGBT. It also hopes to provide a reference for libraries interested in formulating collection development policies for LGBT.
