Wind power generation plays an significant role in global green development policy for mitigating warming and deploying energy source change in power systems around the world. To ensure the design work and project certification system, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) is entrusting domestic research institutes to draft technical specifications. The purposes of those technical specifications are to confirm the basic performance and safety objectives of wind power plants. The site conditions and structural health monitoring had been planned in their projects for necessary work items. Therefore, This study aims at the safety monitoring of supporting structure of onshore wind turbine. Several sensors are used to monitor the vibration mode and dynamic behavior of the operational wind turbine. The actual responses of supporting structure under northeast monsoon are also in the focus of attention. It is expected that the research results could provide useful and practical perception to those who are interested in the domains of onshore or offshore wind energy engineering.
