This paper aims to introduce the concept of "Sense of Place and Tourism," and collect original papers based on the perspectives of residents or tourists in an effort to elucidate authentic experiences, place attachment, environmentally responsible behavior, sustainable tourism, and sense of place. The author concludes that when people have a sense of place based on the above considerations, they gain authentic experiences, place attachment, and conservation commitment that strengthen their sense of economic development, socio-cultural identity, and life satisfaction. Consequently, they more likely support the development of sustainable tourism. Recreational experiences that form bonds between people, together with an environment that creates a sense of place, assist in the assessment of sustainable tourism.
