族裔政治的交纏：馬來西亞國家空間生產

本文旨要探討1990年代馬來西亞國家空間重構（state spatial restructuring）中的「雙城都市化」（dual-urbanism），如何受到族裔政治的影響與構建，並成為國家重要的策略性空間。「雙城」（dual-cities）的打造，不只是回應經濟全球化的策略性空間，更是為了調解至1970年代以來，馬來西亞不斷增強的族裔政治矛盾。在國家力量介入與形塑的吉隆坡（Kuala Lumpur）與布城（Putrajaya）這兩個城市，象徵了馬來西亞國家性質的新階段，更顯示「國家空間」正在經歷佈署與策略的轉變中，從「族裔色彩濃厚的發展主義階段」轉向「族裔政治交纏下的國家空間」。

This article explores how the dual-urbanism of Malaysia in state spatial Restructuring in the 1990s is influenced and constructed by ethnic politics and become a national strategy space. The ＂Dual cities＂ to build, not just responding to the strategic space of economic globalization, is also a way to mediate the growing ethnic political tensions in Malaysia since the 1970s. Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, where state forces are involved and shaping the cities, represent a new phase of Malaysia's national character and show that the ＂State Space＂ is undergoing a shift in deployment and strategy from the ＂Strong Ethnicity Developmentalism＂ to the ＂Mingle Ethnicity Politics of State Space＂.
