廢棄木質粒片製造塑膠木料複合板之耐久性

Durability of Plastic/Wood Composite Boards Manufactured with Waste Wood Particles

摘要


本研究之目的為瞭解塑膠木料複合板之耐久性。試驗中於含木率50%之條件下,以無混鍊處理與混鍊處理製造兩種塑膠木料複合板。無混鍊複合板係將廢棄聚乙烯與木質粒片均勻混合後,於180℃進行熱壓而成。混鍊複合板係將廢棄聚乙烯與木質粒片以單螺桿擠押機進行混鍊處理後,切成小片進行熱壓而製成。耐久性之評估採用乾濕反覆處理,係將試片浸入60℃之熱水4h,再以60℃乾燥20h後,進行靜曲強度試驗。為了比較,亦使用尿素膠(UF)與三聚氰胺膠(MF)分別製造粒片板並進行同樣的乾濕反覆處理與靜曲強度試驗。由試驗結果得知,UF正粒片板與MF粒片板之靜曲強度隨著乾濕反覆週期數之增加明顯下降,同時UF粒片板之靜曲強度較MF粒片板者明顯降低。經16週期處理後,MF粒片板仍顯示出具有相當程度之耐久性能。無混鍊複合板與混鍊複合板經2週期以上之乾濕反覆處理後,其靜曲強度均較MF粒片板者大,在乾濕處理4週期時,無混鍊複合板之靜曲強度明顯降低,在4週期以後其降低之程度趨於緩和,在各週期之靜曲強度中,混鍊複合板者較無混鍊複合板者明顯增大。

The effect of compounding treatment on the durability of plastic/wood composites was evaluated by static bending strengths after accelerated aging with repeated cycles of 4 h of soaking and 20 h of drying at 60°C. Recycled polyethylene and wood particles were used to fabricate plastic/wood composite boards of 50% wood content. For uncompounded boards, the mixture of wood and plastic was directly pressed at 180°C, whereas for compounded board, the mixture was subjected to compounding in a single-screw extruder and then to shredding in a hammer mill before pressing. For comparison, 2 types of particleboard, using urea formaldehyde (UF) and melamine formaldehyde (MF) as binders, were also manufactured. The MORs of UF and ME particleboards decreased with increasing repeated cycles of the aging test, with the decreasing effect more pronounced in UF than in ME particleboards. MY particleboard showed 24% strength retention after 16 cycles of the aging test. In the first 2 cycles, the MOPS of compounded and uncompounded plastic/wood composite boards were significantly higher than those of ME particleboard. The MORs of uncompounded boards dropped abruptly in the first 4 cycles and then leveled off. Compounded boards had higher MORs than uncompounded boards at all cycles within the aging test.
