摘要

本文回顧近年來以事件相關腦電位探討情節記憶的重要文獻，全文分為五個部分：第一部份描述情節記憶概念發展的歷史，以及相關的行為實驗。第二及第三部分探討情節記憶提取及登錄階段相關的ERP效果以及這些效果所反映的認知歷程。第四部分介紹第二及第三部分所探討的ERP效果如何被利用於對記憶扭曲現象的研究。最後一部分展望這個領域未來的發展議題。

Event-related brain potentials (ERPs) have been employed in episodic memory research for decades and have improved our understanding of cognitive processes involved in the formation and retrieval of episodic memory. This article, which reviews recent significant ERP findings of episodic memory, is organized into five sections. The first section describes the development of the concept of episodic memory. The second and third sections review ERP studies, which are related to retrieval and encoding processes in episodic memory with a special focus on ERP effects identified in these processes and their functional significance. The forth section describes how findings from the second and third sections are utilized to investigate memory distortion. A discussion of future research directions is provided in the final section.
