Health care workers are at higher risk of mental health distress than the general population, especially during the transition from nursing students to clinical nursing staff, and they are most likely to experience higher emotional distress and stress. The training of personnel mainly focuses on the cultivation of professional ability and pays less attention to mental health or emotional feelings. Therefore, this paper introduces the new nursing care and education strategy based on the whole-person perspective and its impact on the new nurses in the transition period. After the implementation of Shuang Ho Hospital, it focuses on caring for the learning, physical and mental health, and professional ability of new nurses. In particular, active and flexible care and counseling can reduce the psychological distress of new nurses during the transition period, improve their willingness to stay, and provide a reference for nursing supervisors to develop whole-person care and newcomer education strategies.
