摘要

《陸機文賦校釋》係楊牧取其業師陳世驤的《文賦》英譯Literature as Light Against Darkness及徐復觀所著《陸機文賦疏釋初稿》為基礎，參考唐朝以降至當代人所撰各種注疏，斟酌中西文學批評的重要觀念，試為比類校勘，轉益闡釋之作。它既是第一部結合《文賦》英文譯本與中文傳統訓釋，並匯入西方文學理論以比較、剖析、判斷，乃至會通的學術論著，故甚具比較文學之內涵；且充分評述陳世驤、徐復觀兩位學術先進對於陸機文學理念之見解，則《校釋》一書實際上至少為古今四位文壇前輩（陸、陳、徐及楊牧本人）學思激盪、鎔鑄之萃集，不僅深蘊重要的學術理念，典範傳承的寓意亦十分深遠，值得向後來學者仔細迻介。本文擬細讀本書之內容，審慎闡述其中心理念，櫽括其重要文學觀點，並略評其發明與創見，期能引領學者充分理解本書之精義，與夫《文賦》猶待開拓之契機。

A Collative Interpretation of Lu Chi's 'Essay on Literature' is one great literature compiled by Yang Mu with the English version of Literature as Light against Darkness translated by his mentor Shih-Hsiang Chen's and Fu-Gang Xu's A Preliminary Interpretation of Lu Chi's 'Wen Fu' as basis and all related annotated works written from Tang Dynasty till modern times as references. Yang also scrutinizes the all-essential notions in literary criticism of the East and the West (tries to compare, justify, and illuminate). It is the first scholarly work that combines the English translation of 'Wen Fu' and the Chinese traditional interpretations by infusing the western literary theories for comparison, analysis, and manifestation. It also further employs related compatible academic opuses for consultation and circumspection. Having equipped with the connotation of comparative literature and the description to the full extend of the viewpoints of the two scholars Shih-Hsiang Chen and Fu-Gang Xu toward Lu Chi's literary theory, A Collative Interpretation of Lu Chi's 'Essay on Literature' is hence a genuine literary extract of the at least four literary masters (Lu Chi, Shih-Hsiang Chen, Fu-Gang Xu, and Yang Mu). Not only does it encompass the cardinal academic theories, but also has a great significance in heritage succession. Present article intends to closely apprehend this masterpiece of Yang, prudently expound the kernel notions, clarify its foremost literary perspectives, and evaluate the intrinsic inventions and new insights, in the hope of escorting scholars into a thorough penetration of the essence of the book and seeking a new approach to Wen Fu.
