本文分析2004-2019年1,114本臺灣民間出版兒童圖畫書之插畫風格。按照伊彬、鄧逸平、黃永宏(2004)之分類法與架構歸納出插畫風格特質與趨勢包括:風格的兒童化趨勢;高度集中於「童卡」、「漫畫」、「裝圖」風格;風格小項增加及鬆緊級次與年代關係的回歸;複合風格增加;成人化風格轉移至兒童化風格的小項。而風格變遷的時代意義為:圖畫書國際市場加速擴展;圖畫書觸及率增加;插畫家背景多元;網路媒體增加作品曝光機會;科技改變風格;「童卡」、「漫畫」因可親性、情感表達、訊息傳遞功能成為主流;「裝圖」與成人化風格因缺乏情感渲染隨時代下滑;插畫界缺乏成人化風格人才。研究者認為風格集中化並不利兒童審美教育,並容易侷限讀者年齡。最後研究者對插畫家與出版者提出面對全球化與在地化考驗之建議,包括建立獨特的藝術風格、善用版面尺寸、建立個人品牌。
This study analyzes the styles of 1,114 sample children's picture books published by private sectors in Taiwan from 2004 to 2019. According to I, Teng, and Huang's (2004) method and frame of style analysis, this study determined the characteristics of modern Taiwanese children's books to include the following five elements: There is a growing trend toward childized styles. The styles are concentrated in "Fairytale-cartoon," "Caricature," and "Decoration." There has been an increase in substyles, and no more positive correlation between the tightness level and age. There is a rise in compound styles. Adult styles have been transferred into childized sub-styles. In addition, the study summarizes the significance of the era of style changes in children's picture book: The international market for children's picture books is expanding rapidly. The reach rate of picture books is increasing. The background of illustrators is more diverse. Internet media increases the exposure of illustrators' works. Changes in technology are reflected in a change in styles. "Fairytale-cartoon" and "Caricature" have become mainstream due to their amiability, emotional expression, and message delivery functions. "Decoration" and adultized styles have declined over time due to a lack of emotional rendering. The adultized style talents or training are lacking. In the end, the study suggests that the style concentration is not conducive to children's aesthetic education and limited the age of readers. Regarding the challenges of globalization and localization, this study also suggests that illustrators and publishers should: develop artistic uniqueness, take advantage of different layout sizes, and build self-branding.
