本研究目的在探討:一、比較不同背景變項中等學校桌球選手在生涯發展的差異;二、探討生涯發展與運動動機的關係。研究樣本為參加96年全國中等運動會桌球決賽的國中、高中男女生球隊共36隊,在比賽空暇時間施測生涯發展量表與運動動機量表,共計發放問卷360份,回收並剔除無效問卷後計264份。資料經獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異數分析與皮爾遜積差相關分析處理後,發現不同性別、學業成績桌球選手在生涯探索達顯著差異,男生選手對於未來的規劃目標較女生選手更積極;中等程度學業成績者對生涯發展有較充分準備;而球齡、運動成績並未對生涯發展造成影響。生涯發展狀況與運動參與動機並未發現顯著相關,參與運動的自我決定程度並不會影響生涯發展的探索與規劃,這與生涯發展相關訊息的不足可能有所關聯。最後,本研究依據結果,針對教練、選手和相關單位提出具體建議,以協助中學桌球選手有更佳的生涯發展規劃。
The purposes of this study were as below: (1) to compare the differences in career-development between the players with diverse features; (2) to explore the relationship-between sport motivation and career development. Participants of this study were recruited from all the 36 male and female table-tennis teams that competed at the 2007 High School Students' Games. A battery of questionnaires was administered to 360 players during the period of the Game. Then, 264 valid copies were returned. Sequentially, t test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation were utilized to analyze the data collected. This study showed that gender and academic achievement differences were found in the exploration of career. Male players seemed to be positive for their future career planning. In addition, players with medium academic performance revealed better preparation for the future career. However, sports age and sport accomplishment were found none er, there is no relationship between career development and sport motivation, which might be due to lack of information provision concerning career transition. In accordance with the findings above, this study addresses concrete suggestions to the authority, coaches, and parents in an effort to help high school table-tennis players develop a better career planning.
