摘要

審議式民主被視爲對代議式民主弊病之修正，且爲當代許多政治學者所稱許之一種民主實踐方式。有女性主義者認爲審議式民主可以促進社會被壓迫群體（包括女性）之權益獲得代表與重視，且能將原本不受政治重視之「陰性特質」帶入公領域，從而改變公私領域之傳統二分，並重新定義「政治」之意涵。但另有許多女性主義者認爲審議式民主之論述與實踐存有很大之性別盲。最爲女性主義所質疑者爲審議式民主所主張充滿陽性思維之「公共理性」與「公共利益」。又舉凡女性所處社會不平等之權力與資源分配，所背負文化與階級劣勢等結構上之不平等，倘若不獲得匡正，將在在影響女性參與審議過程之效果。本論文即針對女性主義對審議式民主支持與批判之各方立論，做詳盡分析與省思，俾能對審議式民主理論與實踐有更深入之理解。

Part of the nature of deliberative democracy is to correct its own faults, a trait praised by many political scientists. Feminist political theorists basically value the openings and the opportunities provided by deliberative democracy for women and other minorities. Some feminists believe that in advancing the rights and respect for women, deliberative democracy can bring the value of the ”femininity” into the public sphere and enrich the content of the ”political”. Nevertheless, the majority of feminist political theorists question those masculine concepts that make up the foundation of deliberative democracy, namely ”public rationality”, ”rational consensus” and the ”common good”. They also criticize various kinds of ”gender blindness” observed in the theories and practices of deliberative democracy. The structural inequalities which mainstream deliberative democracy theorists ignore include misogyny, epistemological authority, linguistic competence, and incomplete agency. The main purpose of this paper is to present both positive and negative evaluations of deliberative democracy from feminist perspectives.
