Prostate cancer is a common malignancy in men. Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening in asymptomatic men may bring physical and psychological harm to the patients because of overdiagnosis and overtreatment. Therefore, based on the findings on large studies, the American Urological Association formed clinical guidelines for the early detection of prostate cancer according to age groups (age<40; 40 to 54; 55 to 69; ≥70). Through introduction and discussion of the contents, we wish to raise awareness of the importance of prostate cancer screening among medical staff, improve the diagnosis of prostate cancer, and avoid damage brought by the screening.
