並列摘要

This study focuses on the narrative study of four indigenous museum librarians in eastern Taiwan. By visiting their exhibitions, group discussions and in-depth interview, we try to trace the processes of their cultural learning and practice. Moving back and forth among their tribes, schools and museum, then try to integrate their local and global knowledge to design exhibitions in their working places nearby their tribes. This is a narrative study about how these young people are searching for their cultural roots by learning tribal languages and doing field work in their own tribes to fulfill the goals of their careers. They try their best to integrate resources from the tribes, schools and museums and innovate all kinds of exhibitions for the public. Their experiences show the road map for how to develop indigenous subjectivity and ethnicity mainstream for the society as a whole.
