摘要

新冠肺炎（COVID-19），從2019年12月於中國大陸武漢地區出現，陸續蔓延至亞洲、美洲、歐洲、大洋洲爆發流行，台灣在這次新冠肺炎中有效且快速的因應及控制，使疫情對民眾日常生活影響降至最低。長期照護機構是高風險場所之一，可能會導致新冠肺炎群聚傳染，進而造成嚴重疾病後果，因住於長期照護機構的老年人年齡偏高及大多數老年人合併有慢性疾病，因此需要有效的預防新冠肺炎措施，除了配合政府相關的防疫規範外，長期照護機構對內應維持老年人良好衛生習慣與生活方式、提升機構照護者的防疫能力與防疫物資的盤點與運用，對外如機構訪客管理、疑似病例之轉介、配合社區的防疫作為等，這些議題對長期照護機構都有重大影響，因著對新冠肺炎的因應作為，機構也可以將此經驗運用於未來的緊急疫病處理，未雨綢繆以預防疫情的發生。

An outbreak of COVID-19 in December 2019 in Wuhan, Republic of China spread to Asia, America, Europe and Oceania. Taiwan effectively and quickly responded to and controlled the outbreak in COVID-19, minimizing the impact of the outbreak on people's daily lives. Elderly long-term care facilities are high-risk places that can lead to outbreaks of COVID-19, with serious consequences due to the older age of senior persons living in long-term care facilities and accompanied with chronic diseases of the institutional dwellers. Therefore, the outbreak of new crown pneumonia needs to be effectively prevented, in order to maintain a good lifestyle and maintain good hygiene habits for the elderly person. Wearing medical mask properly when necessary and capability building of the institutional staff and maintain environmental hygiene at all times to prevent outbreaks of this new infectious disease.
