The Transformation Characteristics of the Korea-US Alliance in Moon jae-in's time: "Quantity" Enough, "Quality" Incomplete?

Since the late 1990s, the construction of a multilateral security mechanism in Northeast Asia has become an important topic of concern to the academic community. However, an interesting phenomenon was discovered after setting keywords in the representative database of academic papers in China, Japan and South Korea (HowNet, KISS, CINNI). In contrast, China and South Korea have more researches on topics related to "Northeast Asia Security Cooperation", while Japan has very few papers on similar topics. This article aims to explore the reasons for the enthusiasm of different countries on this topic, and use this as a logical starting point to analyze the strategic intentions behind the different attitudes of Northeast Asian actors towards the construction of a multilateral security system, as well as the United States' allies, Korea and Japan. The reason for the difference in the degree of attention to the Northeast Asian multilateral security issues, based on the premise that countries have different realistic attitudes to the issue, and is committed to putting forward relatively constructive countermeasures for building the Northeast Asia multilateral security cooperation mechanism.
