This article describes the experience of nursing care of a patient who was infected with COVID-19 by travel abroad. He not only had physical illness but also felt anxiety due to isolation and disease uncertainty. During the care period, we collected data through physical assessment, actual care, and interviews. According to physical, psychological, social, and spiritual assessments, we found patient suffered from anxiety, acute pain, and social isolation problems. In the care process, we applied Watson's Caring Theory to provide relevant health knowledge to reduce patient's anxiety; encouraged him to express feelings. Nurse-patient relationship was built up. Through cross-team cooperation, we provided individual care to help him adapt negative emotions. We hopefully this experience is useful as a reference for caring similar patients in the future.
